The Morrissey Goodale team brings vast experience, tremendous passion, and boundless energy to every client engagement.
For the past 25 years, Mick has been advising U.S. and global AE & Environmental firm leadership teams. His focus is in the areas of strategy, organizational development and executive team performance. Prior to co-founding Morrissey Goodale, Mick was Director of Strategic Growth for PBS&J.
Mick received an MBA from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College in 1994 and a BS in Civil Engineering from University College Dublin in 1986. He is a graduate of Belvedere College in Dublin, Ireland.
Mark is a co-founder of Morrissey Goodale. His breadth of experience includes strategic planning, Lean operational strategies, mergers & acquisitions, and leadership development. He is a trusted advisor and coach to dozens of industry executives.
Nick specializes in merger and acquisition advisory for both sell‑side and buy‑side engagements, as well as valuation, financial advisory, and strategic business planning projects. Nick’s expertise lies in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting, as well as deal structure and strategic business analysis.
Nick has worked within and for the AEC industry since the start of his career and has held a number of roles. Before joining Morrissey Goodale, Nick was an analyst for Encana Oil & Gas, where he assessed the company’s historical natural gas production relative to its capital expenditures and human capital resources and forecasted future capital requirements. He has also worked as a project manager for commercial and residential developers, in which roles he was responsible for the overall financial performance and customer satisfaction of each of his projects. With Ascendant Development Corporation, Nick oversaw the development and construction of light industrial projects in the Western United States with a total capitalization of $72 million. He also provided regular analysis and forecasting of the financial performance of each project and communicated that information to the company’s investor groups.
Prior to working at Ascendant, Nick was a project manager with Toll Brothers, the luxury homebuilder, in the Denver area. At Toll Brothers, he oversaw developments representing $40 million in revenue while working with engineers, architects, and construction teams to build three high-end residential communities. Finally, Nick began his career at ZweigWhite in the Boston area, where he specialized in strategic business planning, merger and acquisition, and financial advisory projects for design firms and construction companies.
Nick received his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Southern California in 2006 and graduated cum laude from Boston College in 2000. Nick also holds the Certified Valuation Analyst (“CVA”) designation conferred by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
Jenny provides assistance on M&A, market research, and strategy engagements for our clients. She is a marketing professional with over 4 years of experience in different areas such as business development, strategic growth, marketing research, marketing consulting, promotion, and communication & design efforts. Before joining Morrissey Goodale, Jenny conducted market and M&A research for the Strategic Growth and Corporate Development Group of KCI Technologies (ENR #77).
Jenny received her Master’s Degree in Marketing from Texas A&M University and her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Engineering from Universidad Autonoma de Bucaramanga, in Colombia.
When some of the AEC industry’s largest and most successful firms need assistance with strategy, branding, leadership team development, or M&A integration, they call Michelle.
Michelle Anderson believes in making it matter when engaging with people in all walks of life. She subscribes to the philosophy that we can always be better at what we do, never rewinding the clock. Michelle focuses on vision development, strategy, leadership coaching and M&A integration. She works on company brand and “why” statements and provides a strategy for how to tie the ideas to specific actions that normalize the “why” within an environment. She is both a facilitator and trainer, and leads teams in experiential workshops and 1, 2 or 3-day retreats. She has over eighteen years of industry experience in culture change that began with marketing (adidas), branding (GIRVIN), international business (engineering and construction), education (K-5) and non-profit sectors, and has led and supported business to brand to culture development for a diverse group of companies including global, local, large and small. Michelle has a sixth sense for how to define and prioritize audience, and has helped numerous clients focus on key customer decision makers to develop resonant meaning and authenticity. Industries include: construction, commercial development, engineering, sporting goods, biotech, education, luxury, events, software, healthcare, professional services, and start-ups.
In addition, she’s been a consultant during the dot-com frenzy, a CEO for a start-up not-for-profit, and participant in the Harvard Executive Leadership Program.
She and her husband have been volunteer coaches for Mary Meyer Life Fitness triathalon clinics – with a focus on cycling skills, rules of the road, and how to change your mindset to “can-do”. Michelle is fluent in both French and German.
As a research associate with Morrissey Goodale’s Executive Search group, Hillary specializes in identifying AEC professionals. She has a B.S. in Marketing with a minor in International Business from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. Hillary’s experience also includes a year of study in Barcelona, Spain. Prior to working for Morrissey Goodale, Hillary worked for five years in the hospitality industry.
Jim brings four decades of management and leadership experience to his clients, including ten years in the C-suite (seven years as a CEO/president) and a decade as an inside director (including time with ENR Top 25 firm). Combining experience and post-CEO grad school training, Jim offers clients expertise in strategic planning and meeting facilitation, executive coaching, creation and delivery of leadership development programs and business advising. He also serves as an outside director for a number of industry firms.
Jim earned a BSCE in Civil Engineering from Valparaiso University and received an Executive Coach Certification from Concordia University Irvine Graduate School.
Brendon specializes in strategy and sell-side M&A engagements for our clients. He has also served in several executive leadership roles spanning across multiple industries including, finance, technology, compliance and energy. He received his MBA in Finance from California Lutheran University and BS in Business Administration from California State University Channel Islands. Brendon is an avid Chelsea FC and Colorado Avalanche fan and is most passionate about the philanthropic work he does with The Dolce Foundation.
Lisa is an executive search and M&A professional serving the engineering, architecture, planning, and environmental consulting industries exclusively. She brings broad knowledge of sourcing, identifying, and recruiting top industry talent and connecting buyers and sellers in the market.
Prior to joining Morrissey Goodale, Lisa specialized in filling executive level accounting and finance positions in a variety of industries including computer software, medical device, retail, insurance, IT, accounting, finance, and consumer electronics.
Lisa has a bachelor’s degree in business (with a marketing emphasis) and psychology from Milligan College, in Johnson City, TN.
Jon works with our clients on both M&A and strategy engagements. He also provides support for business valuation services and market research in the AEC industry. Jon received his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Psychology from the College of the Holy Cross.
Peter specializes in merger & acquisition research and market research in the AEC industry. He also provides support on strategic business planning and client perception research projects. Peter received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bryant University.
John is an experienced Executive Search Consultant specializing in the recruitment of AE industry talent. For over 15 years he has advised and assisted architecture, engineering, planning, landscape architecture, and environmental firms in filling key positions and making strategic hires. Prior to joining Morrissey Goodale, John was President and Founder of SullivanKreiss, a management consulting firm providing executive search services exclusively to the AE industry. Before that he was a principal of ZweigWhite where he led the East Coast Executive Search Group.
He has been quoted and published nationally. Publications include Civil Engineering News, Architectural Record, Development Magazine, Construction Executive. An accomplished speaker, John has presented before the American Consulting Engineers Council, American Institute of Architects, National Electrical Contractors Association, and the Associated Builders and Contractors of America.
John has an MBA with a concentration in Management from the Elkin B. McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley University in Waltham, MA, and a BA in Psychology from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ.
Jeff leads strategy and M&A engagements for North American and overseas clients. He has over 30 years’ experience in sales and operations within the consulting engineering and construction industry.
Before joining Morrissey Goodale, Jeff was Director of Strategic Growth and Development for KCI Technologies (ENR # 77). In that capacity, he was responsible for firm-wide strategic growth initiatives, including all long-range and annual corporate, business unit, and regional business planning. He also oversaw the firm’s M&A program. During his tenure, the firm grew top-line revenue an average of 15% per year by expanding into new markets through organic growth and acquisition. Jeff personally initiated acquisitions of six firms and led their integration in the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Texas. He was also responsible for establishing several new offices as part of KCI’s corporate growth strategy.
Prior to his time at KCI, Jeff was Chief Operating Officer at Erdman Anthony, one of the top design firms in the U.S.
Jeff currently serves on the Boards of several national and local professional and civic organizations. He has been featured at many AEC seminars and conferences, presenting on the topics of Strategy and M&A.
Jeff completed the Chief Marketing Officer and Competitive Strategy Programs at Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management, received a certificate in Business Management from St. John Fisher College, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Clarkson University.
Corinne’s experience in event marketing runs deep, beginning with her post as hotel liaison for Swiss-based Globus and Cosmos Tours. She spent years as a travel director for corporate events and later launched her own catering and personal chef business before joining Sprint Corporation, designing and managing their most high-profile and business-critical events.
From large-scale incentive trips—think Super Bowl, Sundance, and Rolling Stone concerts—to elite and intimate board of director retreats and investor meetings, Corinne’s creativity, client service, and meticulous attention to detail make her event programs both original and completely seamless. Corinne’s passion for the culinary arts and entertaining savvy, flawlessly executed with grace and ease, has earned her a reputation as a cultural arbiter of style and a go-to source for the media. Her 360° vendor and corporate experience, combined with her unique aesthetic sensibility and business acumen, result in events that are noteworthy and memorable affairs.
Patrick provides executive search services for architecture, engineering, and environmental consulting firms. He graduated with Bachelor of Administration in Business Management with a concentration in Marketing from Westfield State University.
Stafford specializes in market research, strategic planning and business development operations. She works with and advises architecture, engineering and construction firms on optimal market positioning, best practice executive-level strategic planning and sales/business development process optimization to improve ROI for non-billable time spent on these activities.
Prior to working with Morrissey Goodale, Stafford led business development operations for the Americas Design Consulting Services (DCS) business of AECOM, a global Fortune 500 AEC firm. In that capacity, she developed and led support for DCS’ sales teams including the development and execution of sales training, strategic marketing analytics, and performance management metrics. She also led a global redesign for its internal Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to improve data quality and adoption and the development of a Master Data Management (MDM) strategy for key data. Previously, she served as Commissioner of Administration for the State of Louisiana, the state’s chief financial and administrative officer. Amongst other things, the Commissioner oversees the state’s capital outlay process and sits on the state’s Bond Commission, which approves tax-exempt bond sales to fund state infrastructure projects.
Stafford holds a BA from Yale University and an MBA from the Wharton School.
Tim specializes in industry M&A and market research as well as strategic buisness planning. He also provides orientation and training for Morrissey Goodale’s Virtual/Augmented Reality clients. Tim’s professional background includes experience in marketing, branding, optimizing operations, client relations, and staff training/team building. Prior to joining Morrisey Goodale, he held an executive role in a successful small business and also served as a marketing/branding advisor to several New England-based companies. Tim received his BA in Communications from Framingham State University.
David has been a consultant with Morrissey Goodale since 2008. His specialty is finance and he is well-versed in every aspect of business management. He specializes in succession planning, ownership transition and expansion, deal structuring, mergers & acquisitions, shareholder issues, and business restructuring. While David has focused a good deal of his career in the A/E industry, he brings best practices from other industries, as well. For example, he spent over 20 years in the equipment finance industry and led the restructuring of a small media company.
Allie specializes in internal ownership transition, firm valuation and incentive compensation. Since joining Morrissey Goodale’s team in 2015, he has advised dozens of firms on their internal ownership transitions and external sales, conducted valuation exercises, developed incentive compensation plans, and assisted with strategic planning exercises. Allie is an expert financial modeler, and more importantly, he enjoys working with clients to demystify the many financial concepts that can sometimes be overwhelming as firms explore their strategic options.
Allie’s previous experience includes stints as a strategy consultant to financial institutions and performing financial analysis of clients’ businesses for Credit Suisse, a top-tier investment bank. In these roles, he examined business plans, developed detailed projections of firms’ future financial statements, and applied state-of-the-art techniques to assess firms’ key financial metrics and drivers of profitability. He structured contracts to align incentives between the parties and unlock hidden value.
Allie received a BA in Physics cum laude from Princeton University, a PhD in Economics from the University of Oxford and an MArch from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation.
Nate supports M&A, strategy and market research engagements for our clients. He graduated cum laude with his Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting with a concentration in finance from Bridgewater State University.
